Sportz Moms has recently gained quite a few followers. At first glance, some might be confused by the combination of sports products and cancer-related items on my social media and website. So, what do sports and cancer have in common? Perhaps nothing at first, but I have discovered a way to blend them cohesively in my business.
I've been a Sportz Mom for over 14 years, so I’ve picked up a few tips on removing dirt and grass stains and finding the best sports equipment. However, there's no definitive guide to being a Sportz Parent—everyone's journey is unique.
One thing I know for sure is that, whether we’re in the stands or on the sidelines, we're all there to support our athletes. But we each have our own story. We cheer loud and proud, but being a Sportz Mom, Dad or fan doesn't fully define who we are.
Yes, being a Sportz Mom is my passion, but I have other passions too. I've decided to combine these passions, realizing that while my story is unique, it's not so different from the experiences of other Sportz Moms, Dads and fans.
Lately, I've been inspired by other people who have their own stories to share. I aim to provide products that reflect our unique journeys and also find ways to give back to other’s faced with a difficult road.
At the end of the day, I’m increasingly aware that almost everyone knows someone who plays sports, has played sports, or is a sports fan. Sports have become a significant part of our society in many ways.
Unfortunately, most people also know someone, have known someone, or will know someone with cancer. Often, these two aspects intersect as many in our sports communities have faced this tough battle.
One of the reasons I love being a Sportz Mom is the sense of family we build with other sports families. The support they show for each other and the athletes continually inspires me. While youth sports can be controversial, I will keep highlighting the positives and sharing my honest experiences as a Sportz Mom. Is it challenging at times? Absolutely! Is it for everyone? Not necessarily. But I cherish my years on the fields and will continue to do so as long as my journey lasts. 🩷🩷🩷
